Peacehaven Bedok Arena aims to improve the health outcomes of elders living in the community through a suite of programmes and helps them maintain a healthy lifestyle as they age in place. Working hand in hand with our Community Befriending Programme and our Community Resources and Engagement Support Teams, we also care for the mental health of elders living in the Fengshan area.
Programmes and Services
Our centre is open for elders to drop in and we provide active ageing and befriending programmes, and care support such as information and referral services. Through our community screening, we will be able to identify health issues and refer them to other services for further support.
To encourage our elders to lead a healthy lifestyle, we hold a variety of programmes such as Zumba classes, health talks, cooking demonstrations, or board game events. The centre is also equipped with a gym meant for elders to keep fit and entertainment facilities for elders to watch TV programmes, sing Karaoke or play video games.
In addition, we have the Alert Alarm System to assist elders living within the centre’s vicinity. This system when activated, allows us to respond to incidents involving the elders in the quickest time possible.
Dementia Day Centre
We provide intervention and support to elders who are diagnosed with dementia, so that they can continue living in the community for as long as possible. We help our elders to normalise living from the impact of dementia and encourage them to participate in activities that help slow down the deterioration process.
